I see people falling asleep in silence. I think I wouldn't be able to do that. This blog seems to be a good example of my restless brain. I've had quite the relationship with said brain over its lifetime. I'm glad scientists figured out that the brain is the heart of a human's functionality. Biology is a pretty nifty field, isn't it. It has really ended up explaining so much of what is happening. Many things aren't shrouded in mystery like they were in the past. I really am grateful for the sciences. Wasn't I raised to respect them? Is it nature or nurture with me? Either way, it seems to reign over my existence. I have even been known to look at God with a scientific eye. Of course that concept doesn't stand up to too much scrutiny.

Science teaches me that there must be an explanation or a solution to any problem. Science is the art of the non random. Everything is attributable. No voodoo. It's like they say, just because we don't know the reason for something, it doesn't mean there isn't one. No superstition, please. It's a superstition free zone in my head, as much as possible. Superstition and religion are built in, both culturally and biologically, so some amount is unavoidable. But I know better than to put my eggs in that particular basket.

Crying is good. I has got to be. My 2 year old does it every day. I never do it. That is sad. I do it inside. There it still exists. My whole range of emotions is inside me, having a party. If I didn't have any creative outlet, I might go nuts.
