There is a caveat in regards to the magic idea I had. I said that the worst thing about my vice is that it sucks the life out of life. It replaces all the simple pleasures I could be having, because it is so overpowering. So the caveat is that you have to be vigilant to actually see where your life is a blessing. I seem to be pretty skillful at finding problems, at identifying them and then trying to address them. That is not going to help me very much if I want to become aware of the simple, innate beauty all around me. You see, I need to have something to remove my vice for. I have to become sensitized to loveliness.
